7-8 August 2017

For this trip, we stay at Asmadi Guesthouse, it is located in the Redang village which is 20 min from Redang Village Jetty, 10 min from The Taaras Spa & Resort. We reach the guesthouse around the afternoon, after lunch and have some rest we managed to have the snorkeling trip around the island. The underwater views of Redang is stunning, with lots of coral, colorful fishes and of course beautiful beaches. No wonder Redang Island known as world class island to be visited.

Review: The Greatest Showman

Review, The Greatest Showman, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Barnum Circus

7.7/10 IMDb
56% Rotten tomatoes
4.8/5 iTunes - Apple

Now 1.57 and I'm just finish watching The Greatest Showman, thank you Azri for recommending the movie. Starring by Hugh Jackman, Zack Efron, Rebecca Ferguson and beautiful Zendaya. The movie is inspired by the story of Barnum & Barley Circus owner, P. T. Barnum's. If you guys still remember the Barnum Circus has closed last year (2017) and this circus shows ran from 1871.

Well I'm not telling you the plot details of of the story as I think you better watch it by yourself first. haha. But believe me, The Greatest Showman is worth to watch. As before, Wolverine have end the sequel and tell me what, I guess Jacman really have move on from Wolverine. From the rough beast acting, we can see the another side of Jackman as showman.

p/s: One of the most interesting scene that I like, when the circus building was burned, Carlyle (Zac Efron) jump into circus as he think Anne (Zendaya) still in the building and then actually Anne come out from nowhere (whattttt? haha).

Waterfall slide at Gunung Stong, Kelantan

Gunung Stong, Kelantan, Kuala Krai, Jelawang

4-5th August 2017

We depart from Kuala Terengganu around 11pm and arrive at R&R Jelawang the next 5 hour. After breakfast we start hiking to Baha Camp (Kem Baha). Its take around 2 hour from the carpark area to the Kem Baha. As the area are quite flat, near to the water source, this area are very suitable for camping site area. In this area located Jelawang waterfall (300m) and at the some point you can slide down throught the waterfall. However be carefull, the rock was quite slippery.

At another point, you can see the top view of Jelawang village above the waterfall. What the most interesting is, during the sunrise, there are breathtaking view of the cloud.

After dinner, we have icebreaking session with all the other partipant.

We start our hiking to the peak og Gunung Tebu around 10.00am, after clear the campsite area and put all our belonging at the safety site we continue our hiking. There are two point where the intersection trek to Gunung Ayam and aother trek to Gunung Stong. The group from Kuala Lumpur (30 peoples) that we met at the Kem Baha will follow Gunung Ayam trek meanwhile for us we used Gunung Stong trek. The trek was not so easy, as sometimes we need to pass throught the muddy area, full of bush and as its near to the peak, the forest floor are full of treet roots, and it’s is difficult when we need climb the hill. If im not mistaken, there are two water point, first at the cave area, and the second at mossy waterpoint area. Both areas have beautiful sight.

We reach the peak around 12.00pm, actually the peak was located on the rock where we need to climb the rock first. This area was quite cool especially when there are wind blow in this area. What the most thing that I like at this peak was, if you are lucky, you can saw many squirrel/ chipmunk looking for the food here. Well, during our time, we just met 3 chipmunk here. click the link below for the videos of them.

We have our lunch here and cook Maggi (instant noodle) here. J We start to going down, around 2.00pm, and reach the Kem Baha around 4.00pm, after pray and rest our body in the water area here, we start our journey to going back around 6.00pm. We reach the carpark area around 9.00pm.

After clean ourself and have our dinner at the nearest restaurant we going back to Kuala Terengganu.

Entries before mostly are about beautiful and few must visit island in Malaysia, so from Terengganu we move to Pulau Pinang or known as Penang by tourist. Every time I remember Penang I can’t forget each memory there, eating Gurney Drive Pasembor, Padang Kota Mamak fried noodle, Teluk Kumbar fish head curry, ahhaa Nasi Kandar Beratur, yummie hmm no wonder Penang quiet famous as food paradise in Northern Peninsular Malaysia. Don’t forget the longest bridge in Southeast Asia Penang Bridge also located here where it connected between the mainland and the island itself. Well for this time, I’ll share with you our escape trip to Bukit Bendera (Penang Hills)with my buddies Yusri, Ros and A’ah.

During last time I went in Penang, I was stay at Batu Ferringhi meanwhile A’ah and Ros at Teluk Bahang. We take a Rapid Penang Bus to Georgetown Station Bus and meet Yusri there. Basically, all of us are internship student under Centre of Marine and Coastal Studies, University of Science Malaysia (Cemacs, USM) and lucky for Yusri, he stays in USM campus and work in the campus. Well back to the story, we take another bus to Bukit Bendera.

We reach Bukit Bendera around 1pm, to reach the peak of the hill, we need to take a train and the fee just around RM10 (Malaysian Adult, RM30 for foreigner adult). As it is Sunday and it is Public holiday in some state in Malaysia, lots of people around here. From the peak you can saw the top views of Penang Island, and of course you can saw Penang Bridge from here.
