Penang,
Peneng Hills, Bukit Bendera, Rapid Penang
Entries before mostly are about beautiful and few must visit island in Malaysia, so from Terengganu we move to Pulau Pinang or known as Penang by tourist. Every time I remember Penang I can’t forget each memory there, eating Gurney Drive Pasembor, Padang Kota Mamak fried noodle, Teluk Kumbar fish head curry, ahhaa Nasi Kandar Beratur, yummie hmm no wonder Penang quiet famous as food paradise in Northern Peninsular Malaysia. Don’t forget the longest bridge in Southeast Asia Penang Bridge also located here where it connected between the mainland and the island itself. Well for this time, I’ll share with you our escape trip to Bukit Bendera (Penang Hills)with my buddies Yusri, Ros and A’ah.
During last
time I went in Penang, I was stay at Batu Ferringhi meanwhile A’ah and Ros at
Teluk Bahang. We take a Rapid Penang Bus to Georgetown Station Bus and meet
Yusri there. Basically, all of us are internship student under Centre of Marine
and Coastal Studies, University of Science Malaysia (Cemacs, USM) and lucky for
Yusri, he stays in USM campus and work in the campus. Well back to the story,
we take another bus to Bukit Bendera.
We reach
Bukit Bendera around 1pm, to reach the peak of the hill, we need to take a train
and the fee just around RM10 (Malaysian Adult, RM30 for foreigner adult). As it is Sunday and it is
Public holiday in some state in Malaysia, lots of people around here. From the
peak you can saw the top views of Penang Island, and of course you can saw
Penang Bridge from here.
View from observation area, actually we can saw Penang Bridge from here, unfotunately, the whether was not so good during our trip
